May 12th Unit Game Results UNIT GAMES BEGIN MAY 12th Unit 202 has sanctioned it first three “Unit Games” for Mondays on May 12th, June 9th and July 14th. For the first game on May 12th, play will be conducted at three locations in Augusta, Savannah and St Marys. President Jim Heard is distributing sealed hand records so the same hands will be played simultaneously and the games later stratified. The games have been initiated thanks to Unit 202’s Coordinator, Dr George Matuch. What does this mean to Unit members? Well more points certainly. But perhaps more important will be “fun”. Looking ahead, the formats will vary. Swiss teams certainly. An interesting format is to have the newest players select a higher ranking player as their partner. Local clubs will provide specifics on your area.
